Dedicated to Restoring Quality of Life
Delaware Valley Pain and Spine Institute has been delivering advanced, compassionate pain care to patients across Bucks County, Montgomery County, and South Jersey for over 30 years. Formerly Fox Chase Pain Management, we have built a reputation on clinical excellence and genuine patient-first care.
Providing the Highest Quality of Care to Patients Living with Pain
At Delaware Valley Pain & Spine Institute, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to treat patients with acute and chronic pain. Our team of highly specialized physicians uses the most advanced, minimally invasive techniques to restore function and renew hope.
We understand that chronic pain is multidimensional — it affects the body, the mind, and every aspect of daily life. That is why our approach goes beyond simply treating symptoms. We work to identify the precise anatomical source of each patient’s pain and develop a comprehensive, individualized treatment plan that addresses all contributing factors.
Our goal is simple: get our patients their lives back. We measure our success not by the procedures we perform but by the lives we restore.

DVPSI Mission StatementOver 30 Years of Pain Management Excellence
What began as Fox Chase Pain Management has grown into one of the Delaware Valley’s most trusted pain management practices, serving thousands of patients across Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Fox Chase Pain Management Founded
Dr. Steven Rosen, along with Susan Michael R.N., founded Fox Chase Pain Management. From the beginning, the practice was built on a commitment to compassionate, innovative care using the most advanced minimally invasive techniques available.
Building a Regional and National Reputation
Over its first two decades, Fox Chase Pain Management earned a reputation for delivering compassionate, innovative care to thousands of patients locally and nationally. Dr. Rosen became a recognized national figure in the field, publishing numerous peer-reviewed articles and lecturing at national and international conferences. He served as Course Director and faculty at the P4 Private Practice Pain Providers Conference, one of the leading gatherings for independent pain practices in the country.
Dr. Bromberg Joins the Practice
Dr. Todd Bromberg completed his Pain Medicine fellowship at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as the first and only neurologist in that program. After being invited to stay on by his mentors, he chose to return to his Philadelphia roots and join the practice, bringing rare dual board certification in Neurology and Pain Medicine.
Rebranding as Delaware Valley Pain & Spine Institute
After more than two decades operating as Fox Chase Pain Management, the practice adopted Delaware Valley Pain & Spine Institute as its Fictitious Name (DBA) to better reflect its expanded geographic reach, growing team, and comprehensive range of pain management services across Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Dr. Patel Joins the Practice
Dr. Atish Patel joined DVPSI following his Pain Medicine fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago, where he gained specialized expertise in spinal cord stimulation, intrathecal pain pumps, the Intracept procedure, Vertiflex, and SI joint fusion. His addition further expanded the practice’s interventional capabilities.
Clinical Research, Publications & Cutting-Edge Technology
DVPSI physicians have continued to contribute to the advancement of pain medicine through active research participation and peer-reviewed publication. Dr. Rosen and Dr. Bromberg were the first physicians in Pennsylvania to implant the Evoke Closed-Loop Spinal Cord Stimulation system as part of the ECAP Study, with long-term outcomes data subsequently published in JAMA. Dr. Bromberg has co-authored peer-reviewed research published in Pain Practice and Endocrine, including studies on SCS outcomes and neuropathic pain. Dr. Rosen was recognized as a clinical site investigator in a landmark SCS study identifying trial responders through ECAP dose-controlled closed-loop therapy.
A Full-Service Regional Pain Management Center
DVPSI now operates three locations in Chalfont, Trevose PA, and Marlton NJ, with a team of three board-certified physicians and three advanced practice providers. The practice continues to offer the most advanced minimally invasive treatments available including spinal cord stimulation, ketamine infusions, the Intracept procedure, Vertiflex, and SI joint fusion — while remaining rooted in the compassionate, patient-first philosophy that has defined the practice since 1993.
Our Core Values
These principles guide every interaction with every patient at every one of our locations.
Compassionate Care
We treat every patient as an individual with a unique story, unique pain, and unique goals. Compassion is not a policy — it is the foundation of everything we do.
Clinical Excellence
Our physicians are trained at nationally recognized institutions and stay at the forefront of pain medicine through ongoing education, research participation, and clinical trial involvement.
Patient Safety First
All procedures at DVPSI are performed under fluoroscopic or ultrasound guidance by board-certified physicians. We never compromise on precision or safety.
Team-Based Approach
Our physicians collaborate closely with each other and with referring providers to ensure every patient benefits from the full depth of expertise our team offers.
Minimally Invasive First
We always begin with the least invasive effective treatment and escalate only when necessary. Our goal is maximum relief with minimum risk.
Respect for Your Time
We offer same-week appointments, efficient visits, and direct communication because we know that time matters when you are living with pain.

Rooted in the Communities We Serve
DVPSI is not a corporate chain or a large hospital system. We are a physician-led, patient-focused practice that has been part of the Bucks County and Delaware Valley community for over three decades.
Our physicians live and raise their families here. Dr. Rosen resides in Bucks County. Dr. Bromberg returned to his Philadelphia roots after training to serve this community. That local commitment shapes everything about how we practice medicine.
We believe patients deserve access to the most advanced pain treatments available without having to travel to a major academic medical center. That is why we continually invest in training, technology, and procedures that were once only available at university hospitals.
Clinical Trials
DVPSI participates in clinical trials, giving our patients access to emerging therapies that are not yet widely available. Ask our team about current trial opportunities.
Patient Education
We believe informed patients make better decisions. Our physicians take time to fully explain each diagnosis, treatment option, and what to expect at every step.
Opioid-Cautious Prescribing
DVPSI is committed to addressing the opioid epidemic. We prioritize non-opioid, interventional alternatives and actively work with patients who wish to reduce their opioid dependence.
HIPAA Compliant & Secure
Your health information is protected with the highest standards of privacy and security at every DVPSI location.
Research & Publications
Our physicians actively contribute to the advancement of pain medicine through peer-reviewed research, conference faculty roles, and clinical trial participation — including published outcomes data in JAMA and Pain Practice.
